White House Drug Policy Director, Gil Kerlikowske, Speaks Face2Face to Buffalo Community

Event on March 29th Presented by Alcohol and Drug Dependency Services, Inc. & Kids Escaping Drugs

BUFFALO, NY – Alcohol and Drug Dependency Services, Inc. and Kids Escaping Drugs are coming together through Face 2 Face to present “A Conversation with America’s Drug Czar,” on March 29th. This lunch event will take place at the Adam’s Mark Buffalo and will feature speaker Gil Kerlikowske, Director of National Drug Control Policy and Buffalo’s former police commissioner. Mr. Kerlikowske, who was nominated by President Obama, will discuss what is being done on the national level to combat illegal drugs sales and use and how this translates in our community.

As Director of National Drug Control Policy, Mr. Kerlikowske coordinates all aspects of Federal drug control programs and implementation of the President’s National Drug Control Strategy. He brings 37 years of law enforcement and drug policy experience to the position, having served as Chief of Police for Seattle, Washington, Deputy Director for the U.S. Department of Justice and as Police Commissioner of our own Buffalo, New York from 1994 until 1998.
